Our Pastors
Senior Pastor Jim Smith
Pastor Jim became Senior Pastor in 2001 after having been in New Life for many years, he has been involved as treasurer, trustee, life group leader and Associate Pastor. He is the Chaplain for Ayr United Football Club, involved in a local care home and other community groups. He married his wife Cathy in 1987, she has been involved in various roles in the Church and is the Project Manager for South Ayrshire Foodbank. Pastor Jim and Cathy have two children, David and Lyndsey who are both actively involved in church life.
Associate Pastor David Smith
Pastor David became Associate Pastor in 2022 after growing up in New Life, he has been involved in the media team, worship band, car park team, assembly council member, life group leader and Youth Pastor. He is the Chaplain for Cumnock Juniors Football Club, involved in local schools and other community groups. He married Heather his wife in 2017, she is involved in the RISE Kids Ministry, heads up the Welcome Team and is part of the committee for various community events in Prestwick.
